C. Fan Rodric "Rod"
Fan is the founder, former Director, former CEO and former CTO of
@Road inc., a service company specializing in Mobile
Resource Management.
@Road was
acquired by Trimble Navigation (Nasdaq: TRMB) in 2007.
Prior to @Road, Mr. Fan served as the technical director in Space
Systems Loral where he led a technical and business unit to design
and maintain the satellite control electronics for major satellite
programs such as Intelsat and Globalstar. He coordinated the
multi-billion dollar engineering project between several European
partner companies.
Prior to Space System Loral, Mr. Fan served as project director to
propose and design the detail engineering and hardware for the on
board equipment for GPS satellites. Mr. Fan was also the key
engineer to provide the system engineering designs for the multiple
satellite orbit-control stations.
Mr. Fan is the inventor of more than a dozen issued US patents and
many pending patents. He has done graduate research work in Columbia
University with a BSEE degree from Brigham Young University and a
MSEE degree from Northwestern Polytech.
E. David Mleczko Mr. Mleczko is a co-founder and former engineering director of
@Road
inc (now Trimble Navigation). He led an engineering team to design and produce the ViSTA high
performance GPS chipset with the patented “multiple antenna
diversity” architecture. He lead the development of the original ILM,*
an in-vehicle unit designed to take full advantage of the patented
ViSTA GPS technology and leverage CDPD, GPRS, and CDMA wireless
technologies. To date over 100,000 iLM units are delivering service
throughout North America.
Prior to @Road, Mr. Mleczko served as the lead engineer at Space
Systems/Loral for the on-board GPS Tensor project used in the
Globlestar satellite program where he designed and built the first
on-board orbit control electronics using GPS in the satellite
industry.
Mr. Mleczko is the inventor of 5 issued US patents and 2 pending
patents. He has a BSEE degree from University of California, Santa
Barbara
Kenny Nguyen
Mr. Nguyen was part of
the @Road (now Trimble Navigation) founding team from 1998-2004 where he was responsible for
designing/implementing/managing GeoManager, @Road's core application
that won multiple awards such as the Frost & Sullivan Mobile
Communications Product of the Year.
Mr. Nguyen most
recently served as head of the Product Marketing/Product Management
group, where he led the team that designed emerging products and
applications for the MRM industry. As the head of Product
Marketing/Product Management, Mr. Nguyen was directly responsible
for @Road's product direction and innovation.
During his tenure,
@Road's subscriber base grew from zero subscribers to well over
140,000. In addition, Mr. Nguyen led the successful application
development/acquisition efforts for many key @Road customers,
including Verizon Communications, Qwest Communications, SBC and
Waste Management.
